Is the example in the meme supposed to be Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State? Because they haven’t played each other since 2023.

I think conference expansion and realignment are what end rivalry games.

Besides expansion, rule changes can create entertainment when there is no variance in athleticism.

For example, Elway and Marino playing when the rules favor the offense would also be entertaining.

I’m not a theorist, but the theoretical framework behind this is fascinating.

As a casual baseball fan, the most entertaining MLB season in my lifetime was when McGwire and Sosa looked like the NFL players you’re describing… just saying.
