Tonight's gig - @clothband.bsky.social absolutely crushing it on the last gig of their tour at Cabaret Voltaire. The old vault was the perfect venue for Rachel's breathless vocals and the superb sound of the band. Very welcome bonus of the always wonderful Zoe Graham as support.

Tonight's gig - all the way from Sweden to The Langtoun Jazz. The last gig of their tour, The Erik Palmberg Quartet. Just excellent!

Today's walk - decided against retracing our route back along the coastal path! This is the north of Scotland in November. Bonkers.

I love these murals! We have had one done recently in Costa del Kirkcaldy - a young Adam Smith.

Tonight's gig. Dark and brooding, thumping rock from The Filthy Tongues at PJ Molloys. Love it!
October 25, 2025 at 10:37 PM
Tomorrow's marching music! Meanwhile, waiting on The Filthy Tongues.

Outstanding musicians at The Kings, Kirkcaldy tonight! Local musician, David Grubb, brought his Quartet to do a stripped back version of last year's album, Circadia, and some older material. "Contemporary folk" does not cover the multiple layers in the music. Superb.

Such a privilege to be at Edwyn Collins final gig of his UK Farewell Tour at Queens Hall. A great set of songs accompanied by a superb band. With Edwyn there is so such thing as low expectations! Support from The Hanging Stars was very good too.

Incredible Idlewild! Only a 50-minute album launch gig, but boy, did they pack in a pile of great stuff. New as well as older. Roddy, cool as ever, as Rod and Murray (standing in for Allan) crashed around the stage. Short but very, very sweet!

Tonights gig - Totally different vibe from The Bluebells! Five extremely talented young jazz musicians who form The Jack Pearce Quintet, at St Bryce Kirk, Kirkcaldy.

Superb night at Frets at Strathaven Hotel with The Bluebells, with support from Gerard Love. New album material sounds superb!

Trump and Hesgeth may not be getting their message across to their military leaders as well as they would wish!
