I don't understand the desire by filmmakers to put anachronistic music in period films. Baz Luhrmann does it a lot.

I'm watching Luca Guadagnino's Queer and he has Prince and Nirvana songs in a movie set in the 50s.

It doesn't work imo and takes one out of the narrative.

Red Sox fans are the worst. When my son was 7, a Sox fan on Newbury Street said threatening things to him because he was wearing a Yankees jacket. Two years later (age 9), another Red Sox fan at Fenway screamed at him to "get that fucking hat off your head" because he was wearing a White Sox cap.
