My wife was treated rudely in Costa today.
"Is it because I'm Asian?" she asked me.
I think not, but such is the impact of the hateful rhetoric indulged in - and legitimised by - Reform, the Tories, Labour and much of the media.
Made to feel sensitive and vulnerable.
Shame, shame on our country.

A lovely autumnal morning, looking west towards the Lomond Hills (known locally as The Paps Of Fife 🤣)

2001: Blair "Our top priority was, is and always will be education, education, education."
2020: Starmer stood on platform of abolishing tuition fees
2024/5: year on year increases in tuition fees.
(+ breaking the long-standing taboo on taxing education)
Labour've lost their way.

5 years ago Keir Starmer, standing for leader of the Labour Party, pledged to abolish university tuition fees.
As PM for about 16 months, he has already overseen one raise in the fee and is now bringing in a system of annual rises.
Hardly abolishing them, is he?😠
