Currently remaking each model in the Graveyard Kit so there's more detail and the models are coherent and fit the other (newer) kits. It'll be released soon, for free, for everyone. #gameassets

(but first I'm gonna go to bed, got a bit of the good ol' flu 🤒)

These are not mine, btw. I use CC0

You can just say that, it doesn't have to be all formal;

You may not redistribute, resell, or repackage the textures (modified or unmodified) as game assets but have to incorporate them in your product (game)
kenney.nl
You're misinterpreting the difference between redistributing game assets as assets, and as a completed project. I'll leave it up to the creator, I've tagged them - they'll answer I'm sure
kenney.nl
That's not what is meant by that, it means you can't redistribute the game assets as assets or graphical elements. However, you can use them in your game for commercial purposes too.

@strideh.bsky.social feel free to correct me if wrong
kenney.nl
That's regarding the separate game assets, not when used in your game - they have to be included in your game files for use
kenney.nl
If you're looking for retro textures I can really recommend @strideh.bsky.social's work! They offer three free packs and a premium one. They look really sharp, have a true Quake-feeling, can be used in commercial projects and were made without use of AI!

Yeah I installed 2017 which specifically asks for a license key (for which a modern seat one doesn't work). I'm now upgrading to 2020, which is working with the new Hub license feature
kenney.nl
I just hope that it inspire others to keep supporting their content :)
kenney.nl
Oh right. Yeah but I promised free updates for the app, I'm working on a successor already but still want to provide support for the original
kenney.nl
I mean, doesn't really solve issues with keeping legacy projects safe
kenney.nl
Tried that, unfortunately - reinstalled everything and also revoked licenses, etc.

Low risk != no risk though
kenney.nl
It's all completely new, the drives are NVMe M.2
kenney.nl
I did read that but my hard drive is just 7 days old, I did multiple tests on it and it all came back at healthy - no issues. I can create a new project in Unity 2019, and open it once (not again) - it's just so weird
kenney.nl
It only supports patching Windows and macOS builds, they didn't add Linux support
kenney.nl
I don't remember, I think it was one of the third party plug-ins which had me giving up
kenney.nl
Unfortunately can't upgrade, I tried before and it broke a lot of stuff which would take too much time to fix. I can try again though, given the circumstance it's getting more important to do so
kenney.nl
Hah yeah it originally was but they patched all their editor version starting from 2017.1 to fix a really severe security issue - hence I need to do the updating
kenney.nl
Oh sorry read this reply only after replying to your other. Yep, it's a mess (no surprise)
kenney.nl
Their tool just patches Windows and macOS builds though, not Linux. While the risk was low, I'd still like to patch for every platform
kenney.nl
I could hook up my old computer and use that, which probably still has the project active. It's not a long-term solution but at the very least might work for now
kenney.nl
Ah yeah I understand what you're saying. Not sure if Unity 2019.4.41f1 is able to pirate though since it just released a few days ago
kenney.nl
The project really requires that specific Unity editor version, I tried upgrading in the past but it fails. That is the official Unity patched version, as for pirate; I have an active Unity license
