I think that the laws changed a few years ago, whether the player has a chance to regather or not if they drop the ball it's a penalty. It's harsh but it removes the grey area.

Maybe sharing a defence coach with one of the defensively weakest teams in the premier isn't good enough at international level.

The original plan was for 5 seasons but they decided to just do two to cut costs. So I think the storyline got a bit more muddled.
