I prefer a bit of a mix. Basically-decent sorts, but all set to wreak a terrible vengeance if you do them wrong. I wrote a short story based around the 'racing gnomes' incidents, "No Race Like Gnomes", with very much that characterisation...

The tykes summed up a certain purveyor of self-satisfied poodle rock as 'Jon Bum Bogey'.

How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.

Ah, right! So two ITV regions that I wasn't getting then, but factually Will's correct on this one (although we DID get The Brady Kids cartoon on BBC1 before then). Many thanks for your sterling help! (And Will's still wrong about The People That Time Forgot. It's an AMICUS film, f'Set's sake.)

I must say, I really like 'Circles In The Sand'. It sounds like the theme song to some unjustly-forgotten late 80s/early 90s Hong Kong actioner or supernatural film. (See, or hear, also, of all things, 'Run With Us' from The Raccoons.)
