Freddie wanted a 6 year contract, Anthopoulos/Liberty Media refused to move beyond 5 cuz "he's old and will definitely break down" two seasons after his MVP and one season immediately after winning the WS and clubhouse leader. Braves panicked and threw all of their good prospects to get Olson.
