Snow in Summer is one of our favourite dishes.
A baked #gingerbread base of almonds, sugar and breadcrumbs, with sweet creamy 'snow' on top.
See this and much more at our #Tudor Midsummer event

It’s showing wear. It was done in 1984-5, this pic from 1987 (I can’t find one right now of beams with roses but this is another wall in same room). Artist was using 15thc techniques as far as possible but it was a learning experience & wore faster than expected. Mellow now but was pretty intense!

Our local cheese, Suffolk Thump was said to be so hard you could use it in place of shot if you ran out, so….

Damned if we don't like a cheese related story!

A high window of diamond panes between 4 levels of stone mullions. Shadows of the diamond panes fall onto the pink walls above an arched doorway.

Entertaining Henry is performing 20-22 June at The Quay Theatre in Sudbury, Suffolk - three days, six plays, one king. There is a discount if you book for more than one day, and plenty else to do in the area - Kentwell Hall is down the road with Tudor re-enactments that weekend! #history #pilgrimage

I had a great time last weekend portraying a Dane/Viking with Suffolk Viking chums at Kentwell Hall.

Fantastic site, company and weather!
