NEW: In 2017, Hunter Biden pursued a deal to sell land around the US Embassy in Romania, & possibly the land on which the embassy sat, to a joint venture that included a Chinese government-linked company.

The venture, & the Chinese company, collapsed before the deal went anywhere.
