I'm in a petrology class and this thin section i looked at under a microscope the other day is one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen.
The picture is black apart from a circle in the center that displays a brilliant fractured mosaic of mineral crystals under a microscope. They are black to amber to gold to green blue and orange and white in color. Hundreds of different colored crystals on an intricate naturally occurring formation of randomness but, also subtly hinting at past forces that acted upon these rocks/minerals.

"Fuck this hummus" - someone in town today, I guess.
