Progressive. Blue dot in a red sea. Atheist. Pacifist wanna be.
Disciplining a teenager is highly ineffective. We still do it.

Cancer needs to be cut out, so we keep doing it until it's gone.

When good people do nothing...

If we ever turn to politics as usual, I would love a political debate to determine which candidate has read, understands, and values the ideas in the Federalist Papers.

That was the whole point. Separation of powers and checks and balances. The founders believed a central government could choose tyranny. We ratified the Bill of Rights for a reason.

"A Republic if you can keep it."

Too many Americans did not study the founders or Germany's Nazi rise to power.

West Wing just arrived and Lost is leaving. If you are dedicated, you can watch both before cancelling Dec 31.

I am beginning to believe that the Vulcans might NOT arrive in 2063.

I want to believe...

In rural America, if you want a doctor, you wait months, if they will take you. Sensible doctors are not to be found.

Watch Fox or go untreated.

Most waiting rooms play Fox because the waiting patients request it.

Why do you think teachers don't teach critical thinking?
November 29, 2025 at 1:57 AM
SEL is still growing in my state, it's still a part of ESSA which is the law of the land.

Just saying first things first, reading first. Teachers do teach critical thinking. With no consequences for failing grades, kids have no incentive to think at all at school.
November 29, 2025 at 1:56 AM
I don't think we can. If you compare the costs and policies, not to mention how teachers are trained and respected, America doesn't care enough.

We focus on special needs/special education as policy. Kids have to learn to read.

Perhaps you meant, "We should do this."

The more charming and "nice" a man is, the less likely anyone will believe her.

Believing a woman requires responsibility to help her.

Believing the man requires nothing of anyone.

But like cancer, we must constantly try to excise and extract it.

We may lose the battle, but the hope is that after every cancer treatment, it grows weaker.

This is where the boycott should begin.

Find ways to pay these men to call in sick.
October 22, 2025 at 9:23 PM
This is where the boycott should begin, with these workers and construction companies.

No Kings protesters could help by paying these men to call in sick.
October 21, 2025 at 9:19 PM
If there is any boycott this country needs, boycott the demolition and building of anything at the White House.

Please, America, help these workers and construction companies refuse to do this work.

I know exactly what you are referring to. 😉

No, but you made me look!

It's like they are after Jesus.

For the most part, women love men. Women take very good care of men. (Generally speaking)

Why do men not care for women? Why is rape culture ok? Will there ever be a time women do not need chaperones?

Men could change this by changing their culture.

Start with sending rapists to prison.
October 6, 2025 at 10:20 PM
Women were completely covered during the Victorian era, and they still needed chaperones. They are covered in the middle east, and still need an escort.

It wasn't long ago that young men protected their sisters from their friends.

All men in all eras in all locations.

Ain't that the truth!

And make you think that you are crazy for not seeing their version of reality.

How about back pay for those who have stayed in the profession for decades?

Pay teachers who train the new ones. The new ones should not make more money than the seasoned teachers.

Teachers leave the profession when new teachers with no experience make more money and have their loans forgiven.
