You are not the only one, hence my citing humorless scold Christopher Kimball. I am glad I caught the no onion thing because 1) this is my main dish for the workweek and 2) I wanted a sub for the 1 Ottolenghi dish that can be made from pantry staples.

I saw a recipe online where you use onion plus bell pepper and carrots. That looks better. Will amend.

The flavoring is garlic, ginger, cilantro, turmeric, cumin seeds and red pepper flakes. That is not going to be enough to make it past the coconut milk.

This is Willa—she went to the other side in April aged around 16. We had 15 years together. She was very baby, had the silkiest fur, talked constantly, and demanded a Churu at 7pm every night. She ably served in the role of Senior Cat for the household.

Greatly appreciating my dad now. Born in 1941, when he found I was being sexually harassed as a 13 year old circa ‘88 he said the next time they said shit to me to hit them and not stop.

Even her dad trivializes it, calling the perpetrator “a little boy” and saying she was wrong to put hands on him but that the punishment was excessive. Hell no.
