And yet, everyone in the military and civil service has to take annual ethics training that spells out what a conflict of interest is, including the appearance of. As well as what the criminal punishment could be (UCMJ for military, 5 CFR and 18 USC for civilians). But Congress doesn't care.

I'm sure they'll do their best not to have free and fair elections, yes. But our elections aren't actually so easily manipulated. I have faith in the system, for now.
Martial law is the fastest way to circumvent elections. We already know he wants it. Giving him an easy path doesn't seem wise.

But it wouldn't be. It would be giving him exactly what he's been trying to provoke - a reason to declare martial law and do away with elections forever.

Actually this is a not a bad idea. Have him run as an independent, just to force a timely ruling from SCOTUS about eligibility when it's not Trump under consideration.

Anything that didn't fit the narrative is ofc 'fake news'. It's like trying to fight a giant marshmallow, you can't make any headway against the disinformation.
So it's good if something, anything, is causing any of them to wake the hell up. Even if it's something they should have seen coming.
