An incredibly fun idea done for an off-site client, of a Zoids Rey Dau featuring Eva's Unit 01 colors! We tested a good few colors, but this is by far the most interesting. Genuinely had a ball working on this!

When Jurassic World Rebirth first came out, I saw it at a drive in theater, so was excited for the high detail experience you get from streaming. Still love these fat beach bois.

When I was younger, I was obsessed with the Sturm Fury from Saga I with the nose blade. I remember playing it on my old (GBC was it?) with the plug-in light (that my parents hated because omg battery drainage). I didn't know then that it was an early concept for the Sturm Unit.

This is the completed base body, with no additional armaments (besides the missile pods there. Can't be COMPLETELY unarmed, after all!)
This kit was truly a ride, weeks of hand painting details. I'm pretty in love with it!

Had to take a short break from the project, but finished Marauder's Big Stompin' Boots tonight! Nearing the finish line on this project. Just the chest armor, tail, and back turret left to go. I'm enjoying how heavy all the armor pieces look. (Are. Spoiler: He needs a stand, but that's ok~)

I also finished up the arm armor (lower arm section) and added some spare HMM clear eyes (can't remember from what) to the claw cuffs to detail them up a bit.

So here's a bedazzling experiment and some more progress on Marauder. The legs aren't originally designed to open in the front, but attached with pegs at one end, so drilled out the armor and added craft crystals to simulate openable missile pods. Later lined the bottom missiles with red.

I think my favorite detail, by far, is the sloping throat plates. Totally not because of a pre-existing bias towards reptiles. Also finished the missile pods!
