Alrighty, thanks.

You say "avoid the console versions,", but then only mention the PS5 performance issues. Are you just assuming that the Xbox and Switch versions also have issues?

I might be wasting my time typing this, but here goes. I will buy next year's game if: 1. It is grounded in reality. No robots. No hallucinations. No exo-suits. No wall hopping/running. 2. No ridiculous immersion-breaking skins. Every skin looks like something a soldier might wear in combat.
December 3, 2025 at 10:03 PM
Why say "this" instead of the name of the game?
December 3, 2025 at 3:23 PM
It's weird that you didn't mention the 50% discount.

Well, I don't know. So how about telling instead of being cryptic?

Astronomical summer, yes. Meteorological summer ended nearly 3 weeks ago. Meteorologically, summer is June, July, and August (Fall is September, October, November, etc.). It's simpler to use meteorological seasons, as the dates never vary. :)

That these are the top games doesn't mean that there isn't a wide variety of great games being played and enjoyed by many many people. These are just the ones with the widest appeal.

There is no PC version of SoTN to come to GOG.

The only thing I'm dropping is Call of Duty, until you drop the ridiculous skins and the fantasy nonsense.

I worked at a small independent store that sold 8-bit and 16-bit micros, and those Amiga packs, Flight of Fantasy, Cartoon Classics, Screen Gems, and in particular the Batman pack, were a huge factor in people choosing the A500 over the Atari 520 STE. Kudos to the Commodore marketing team.

This is not what I want from a Call of Duty game. I'm very thankful we're getting a grounded Battlefield this year.

Maybe on Monday. Too busy with BF6, which is thankfully devoid of Ninja Turtles and Nicki Minaj.

Each screen shot is of a game that received a rating below 81. Examples of low scoring games can be found in every issue of CVG.
August 1, 2025 at 4:12 PM
Ah, I see. This isn't the case though. Every issue of CVG had plenty of low rated games.
August 1, 2025 at 4:10 PM
Are you suggesting that someone is wrong if they like a game more than you do? That your opinion is the correct one?
August 1, 2025 at 3:13 PM
For me, this applies to all of the Activision O2 games and the SSX series. The DualShock 2 is just perfect for them all.
July 20, 2025 at 11:10 AM
This is exactly what I want, because I hate wasting money, and I refuse to pay for a screen that I won't use. They released a handheld-only variant, so why not a TV-only variant?
June 26, 2025 at 10:36 PM
I think you concern yourself way too much with the views expressed by the fanboy/console warrior type. You need to learn to ignore these types of people, to disregard them as idiots not worthy of any of your mental/emotional capacity.

I found the default controls for Ridge Racer to be too sensitive. I fixed this by changing "Maximum angle of handle" from 180° to 360°, and changed "Dead zone on the steering wheel" from 5.0° to 1.0° to improve responsiveness. Settings > Button > Custom Button Settings > Sensitivity setting.

RRV is now in 1st.

I bought both the SNES and the Mega Drive back in the day, and up until fairly recently, I would have chosen the Mega Drive without hesitation. But I've come to realise the greatness of the SNES library, and would find the choice almost impossible to make now, so I'm not going to try.
