Ok. But then vote for whichever Democrats wins those primaries.

Fill the tree. That's part of how you win.

Brandon Gill would like a word.

My siblings took me to see Airplane! I was 8 years old and no one told me what it was. I thought it was an Airport movie. I was so confused and it took me 15 minutes to figure out it was a comedy.

I'd love to be wrong about my 2024 prediction about Democrats not controlling the Senate for at least 20 years. If they don't win it in 2026, I don't want to hear about a Blue Wave. That's the minimum in my opinion.

That's a deep cut

Incrementalists get things done.

I doubt he believed that then though.

You should see the Wizard of Oz.

If the midterms were held today, most voters would be surprised.

MAYBE people got involved and excited because the candidate was progressive - or maybe they got excited and involved because they're rile up about Trump. "Corporate centrists" did well in November. Show me a swing district won by a leftist.

I don't know why everyone wants to pretend that an election outcome is about one thing. There are lots of reasons McGrath lost. Lots of reasons why this race is closer than 2024, why Trump won in 2016 and 2024 and lost in 2020. "All things being equal" is a guess because things are never equal.

That needs a constitutional amendment unfortunately

Recent history has been over-performance in special elections. What was the difference between 2017 and 2018?
December 3, 2025 at 1:13 PM
I think they could have, but well enough to win? Probably not. So Democrats need to be careful about who they nominate in Trump +9 to +15 districts.

Candidates who match their constituents probably do better.

Yes, but part of that is that their Ward CM can run and not have to give up their seat.
December 1, 2025 at 1:52 PM
Once again, the Mayor's office is sought by a CM from a Ward with an off-cycle election (Ward 4).
