Lolicon-as-coping-mechanism is best discussed as an edge case, for most it is basically on the opposite end of the spectrum to pedophilia, closer to a form of age play. The best praxis is generally to distinguish it from pedophilia wherever possible because pedophilia is understandably demonized.
