this is the right move for her- she can't win the governorship and she probably can't get reelected to congress given the likely +15 dem shift in congress in 2026. her odds are better if she goes on the fox news circuit and runs for president in 2028. sadly, i doubt she is going away for very long.

I wonder if republicans would be better off trying to get a popular pol from western NY?
I doubt that she is very well known in Buffalo or Rochester where she'd have to landslide to win.

there is no good way forward. either all imagery is cryptographically signed by an OS duopoly with keys attached to your real identity (and there are big problems with this) or we accept that everything we see online is fake by default. all words written by bots, all images and videos generated.

it feels like there is a pretty nasty gambling aspect to this? i know it is becoming common to compare codegen to a slot machine but maybe there really is an addictive aspect to this stuff?
