I changed my Bluesky handle so I could get verified on this thing.
I saw a post about Rance and it turns out that they omitted the F and were just posting about France.

I had thought Rance was the poster’s nickname for the rancid one stinking up the White House.

Coming to Bluesky to see if Threads is slow for everyone or just me, but I can't post there due to slowness, so here I am asking.

Michael Saylor is bad for Bitcoin.

Whales in general, to be clear. The promise of BTC is a better future. I think that's what Bitcoiners want. Hard money vs permanent inflation, or some other aspect of it, promises improvement.

Vote Yes on 50

It’s sad that we are at a point where this measure is needed. I’d rather have a national ban on gerrymandering. But tough times call for tough actions so I am voting for this. It’s above-board, temporary, and makes a real difference against fascism. Vote yes on Prop 50!

Email from city council rang true:

Living our values

Each of us has a responsibility to live with intention, compassion, and persistence, and to turn away from the things that divide us and focus on what we can do together to build a city where dignity and justice guide the path forward.

This week’s winner: white supremacy.

This week’s runner-up: jumping to conclusions.

This week’s loser: every last one of us.

I remember the stunned pain of the attacks on this day in 2001. Still grateful my coworker Steve suggested he and I go for a walk as we were considering the brutality. Many other memories.

But I have to say, the self-destruction of USA by the red hats is, in most ways, harder to bear.

The Johns Hopkins website says congestive heart failure is typically progressive. Given how long it’s taking, that seems like an unnecessary dig at my politics.

While I understand the good behind the Cardinal Directions, it favors fascists. If people at the top are gonna to violate the Constitution and a bunch of laws, some ways of protesting and fighting back are not allowed here. They can torch society but we can’t fight fire with fire.

I have a friend who is very mentally ill. Our mutual friends all talk about him and hope he gets help. When I talked to him about it, he told me that he is fine and that I need to get help.

This post is really about him. It could be about somebody else, too.

Extreme weather events will continue to become more common. Black swan floods will become 100 year floods and 100 year floods will now happen many times in our lifetimes.

It's an extra bad era to reduce national weather resources. To do so is deadly. We can't save every life, but damn we can try.

An SNL skit about Fox Canoes, a lakeside rental shack that rents splintery, leaky watercraft but the elderly keep coming back and defend it even as they drown, and who paddle even more furiously when the black lady sheriff joyously tries to be reasonable here.

But, you know, funny.

The acting head of lice* said, in so many words, actually quite explicitly when you think about it, that their white families matter while non-white families don't. It is disgusting and shameful. May he rot.

*you know who/what I'm talking about

May you have the patience of Job? Nah. May you have the patience of the Deep State.

These evil left-leaning puppet-masters that have all power and are in all branches of government, look at them just waiting patiently to take a single solitary action. I mean, that's some Biblical patience!

There’s another person out there with my name who is on the side of the orange poop and the white peeps. I apologized to somebody earlier today about that. And I’d like to apologize for all the whites wielding their right-wing hate and racism. Those people suck.

There are so many sites you have to juggle if you want to look for work! Sign up here, sign up there. A complex interconnected mess of, like, 47 employment sites.

Never fear! AI companies will solve this by ... *checks notes* making 47 more sites, all for the same number of openings.

Yes, tariffs are stupid, but what if we embraced that and just put massive tariffs on anything that’s stupid?

I’m heading to teach acting class. That’s the good news.

I’m in the back seat of a Tesla. That’s the bad news. Lyft upgraded me to Black while I wasn’t paying attention and apparently they think I wanted this? Ugh. I don’t want any connection to the crime and corruption. Also, it’s a bumpy ride.

On the one hand, our democracy is in tatters. On the other hand, there are still bros who will point out that it’s our constitutional republic that’s in tatters.

I’m still bullish on Bitcoin but it’s disheartening. Some people who swear they’re 100% into “freedom money,” as they call it, are fine with all sorts of recent anti-freedom. So, they’re just into the “money” part.

You’re right if you’re skeptical. BTC tech is sound, but the bros are not.
