Bill suffered from the same affliction. He believed he was the greatest and didn't need to follow the process that every other NFL team does in building a coaching team and a good roster. And the result was the pathetic team that emerged post Brady

I think the biggest problem is that having had Brady for 20 years, the Krafts had come to believe that the normal rules of football like having a good roster, good coaches, doing coach searches, and doing smart FA sign ups don't apply to their team. Brady had compensated for all those deficiencies
