People hate change of any kind that affects them personally and is forced upon them. The further removed we are, the less emotional the impact.

The sin/cos positional embedding lends itself particularly well to audio.

I also think Stable Audio Open (sound effect clips only) is more comparable in scope to something like StyleGAN (<100M images) than SD.

This is pretty ironic given all the (justified) criticism of LLM hallucinations.

Can we make this into a series? I know if at least two other cathedrals that have lego models (Durham, UK and Saint Paul, MN). There might be others?

But this is exactly where I find LLM code review most useful. It is pretty reliable at finding typos that most human reviewers would have glossed over. We haven't merged a "teh" in ages.

Be careful with these cheap sensors. Many of them have substantial drift over time (months). They periodically recalibrate using an assumed ambient minimum. I wouldn't trust them to measure climate trends.

It always makes me think of Monte Carlo or Markov Chain and confuse myself trying to force a connection.

I've been wondering about this too. At the very least, you would need a text-to-phonetics translator that is capable of intelligently handling a mix of pronouncible and unpronouncible characters (like </text_body>). Maybe current text-to-voice models are already good enough at this?

If you burn down a forest, you don't miss out on lumber for just that season. You have to replant all the trees, nurture them, and wait for them to grow.

The science and research budget cuts happening now are wanton, senseless arson. Recovery, if it ever happens, will take generations.

Bonus quote: "By nature, software developers will always create code, just like musicians are always producing music. Even if AI could produce great music, musicians would still do it. After all, we didn’t get to Bach, Beethoven, or the Beatles and just say, 'Okay, we’re good, we have music now.'"
