Working on something fun, a #BuckRogers Thunderfighter. Got the original off Thingiverse, and after some mesh cleanup and structural work I printed at 1/700 scale. Paint's not finished yet, but getting there. Dime added for scale.

Here's the final based E-web team from darkfiredesigns.com printed for #StarWarsLegion - love how this printed, painted and overall came out. Looking forward to bringing this to the table.

#warshipWednesday with the Japanese carrier Hiryū, I modelled this addition to the Kidō Butai in #Blender, printed them on an @elegoo.bsky.social Saturn S in Elegoo plant-based white resin and painted with 1942 markings. The design and printing is intended for 1/1800 scale naval wargaming.

I have never been more proud of my daughter.

It's not too cute to be a #mimic

Anyone else up for a rousing game of "Yacht"? No? How about we try "Ooops!" instead?

Some classic wargaming terrain from the resin printer - the Eco resin loves acrylic paint

Finally have the time to watch Cloudward, Ho! from @dimension20.bsky.social - just finished watching Ep. 6 of #AdventuringParty and it suddenly dawned on me why the bill becomes due for those who wield the light... if I'm right about this @brennanleemulligan.bsky.social that's f*cking hilarious.

Does combining a filament print and a resin print qualify as mixed media?

Final piece coming soon

Original piece was 'misplaced' so decided to design and print my own and enhance it with a magnetic connector. This is the second attempt (had some swelling with the first). I think it came out pretty well TBH.

Not sure this is how GFCIs are supposed to work…

Been playing a lot of Star Wars Shatterpoint lately - interesting mechanic, but the terrain is a bit limiting out of the box.

Really wanted to expand the options a bit so I designed these rounded platforms with modular core inserts.

Pretty happy with the results

Had some leftover shelves from a media rack, figured the best way to keep them out of the landfill was to design mounting brackets for them.

This was such a fun experiment- took advantage of the droop in unsupported filament for a more organic evergreen tree look. Not perfect, but a neat idea I had to try.

Bit of a concerning matchup - feel like I’m on the short end of this one

I’ve said it before elsewhere - but it bears repeating, Figma’s 2024 UI update hurts my UX brain.

While we’re at it, why is there no table element without adding a plugin?

>ugh<

Not quite the smallest thing I’ve printed - but came close. Definitely the smallest I’ve had to detail. Came out ok. Not sure where the STL came from, not one of mine.
