A lot of new followers since I posted this, so in case you missed it, here's my Front-end Friends starter pack 😊 go.bsky.app/FfLUXeQ

(and a more specific CSS Starter Pack here too: go.bsky.app/JQYmgQH)

In case you want to skip the video and look at the code:

One thing about making CSS content is when I see and interesting challenge, trying to solve it can make good content 😅

In this case, I saw a @codepen.io for a directionally-aware hover effect that only tracked mouse-in, so of course I wanted to try and track mouse-out too.

OK @kevinpowell.co has written what has to be one of the best (if not THE best) practical article to #CSS colors I have read in a while. piccalil.li/blog/a-pragm...

Easy to read, practical examples, and *perfect* for someone like me who's fallen behind and hasn't kept up with all the new stuff.

just deployed to gradient.style
- better import design
- more resilient parser (understands more syntax)
- supports multi-layered gradient imports

I'm working on something where I'm going to need to check contrast ratios of text/bg. I know there are a few options, (maybe all flawed in one way or another?), what's the best option these days?

Do you have any smaller/under-the-radar CSS sites/people that you follow?

Looking for blogs, YouTube channels, or anyone who just shares cool CSS stuff.

Reply if you know any, and look at the replies for new people/sites to follow 😊
