The Holocaust could have happened in any country. By any group of people. To any group of people. Any of us could have been in the gas chamber. Any of us could have been in the guardtower.
That's why it's so scary to see the patterns emerging again. Don't let them go unchallenged this time.

Nazi Germany started with aggressive nationalism dressed up as patriotism, dressed up as an answer to economic decline and cultural change. Then came the scapegoating of minorities, the normalisation of dehumanisation and its inevitable mass desensitisation
