Day 18: Learning to draw. I’m back copying pages from @2000ad.bsky.social . Packed away all last year’s progs and they’re in a box in the fairly inaccessible attic so if anyone knows the original artists let me know!!! (Because obviously you ALL READ 2000AD! 😀 - And if not, WHY NOT???!!!)

Day 17: Learning to draw. Convinced my partner to pose for a portrait. I’ve made yher look pretty stern and Victorian. However, this is probably the first pic from the book's lessons that feels like, 'okay, now I can do it to a high(ish) level.' I love this book. #art #dailysketch #drawing

Day 7: Learning to draw: Kid on a chair, then our living room full of plants, and our hallway. Find myself really enjoying drawing the ‘mundane’ background stuff and getting lost in detail. (Which is weird, as anyone who knows me will tell you that I’m not good with details!) #art #dailydrawing

Day 6: Learning to draw: Chairs plus a Picasso sketch copy. Not the most exciting, but you’ve gotta do the grunt work. I would avoid sitting on these chairs. They look like they defy physics and 3D space! (I’M COMING FOR YOU, ESCHER!!!) #art #dailydrawing #sketching

Day 5: Learning to draw: Book asks you to draw a couple of pictures upside down. And weirdly, if they’re upside down, then it’s much easier to draw them well. Which means I’ve drawn a Picasso and a Ditko. Which must mean I’m as good as those guys!!!!???? (well, maybe not) 😂 #art #drawing

Day 4: Learning to draw. Via the magic of the book, I can now apparently draw my own hand with varying levels of proficiency. I’m amazed at how good this book is. You should all try it (unless you can already draw - in which case, ignore me) #sketching #drawing #dailydrawing #art

Day 3: learning to draw. I drew my hand and microphone without looking at the paper. I found it a strangely liberating and psychedelic experience. Weird thing is… this is what my hand and my mic ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE!!!!
