I found this hazel seedling yesterday with absolutely no chlorophyll. I suppose it will eventually die but what a strange and beautiful thing to find!

Another clone of Maxillaria tenuifolia in flower; this one I bought back from Madeira around 2018/2019. It's done very well indeed. As ever, a lovely scent.

A bit of a mystery. This Coelogyne came to me as C. ovalis which it isn't. Doesn't match fimbriata, fuliginosa or triplicatula either. Closest guess yet is C. chrysotropis. Ideas welcome. Ooh I love a mystery!

Thank you! Jungle monarch is the name I've been trying to think of since the start but I got told it was wildcat and didn't investigate any further. The pseudobulbs actually look wrong for wildcat too, but it makes sense for jungle monarch.

A freshly purchased rescue Oncidium type from the bargain bench. First pic - as purchased. Second - old growing medium is removed and the roots trimmed. Third - freshly potted in orchid bark where it will grow away nicely, with any luck.

Coelogyne Lyme Bay 'Burnham' in bloom. Such a lovely flower. The 'Orchideengarten' cultivar is available on my website - it has more white markings on the lip. Check out the link in my bio if you're in the UK and fancy something more unusual in your collection!
