Gen X that never amounted to much. But found happiness in the end.
Gen Jones husband who worships three chords and the truth.
Gen Z teen in the house.
Politics to the left.
Music a bit dark.
English Lit major who just reads smut these days.
I got to read it as an ARC and enjoyed it immensely

I haven't seen White Lotus (cdn not contributing to US media right now) but excited to see someone else referencing Party Girl

Traitor Queen! The first book is a bit slow but the pay off in the rest of the series is worth it.

I read a few great novels in a row and now I don't know what to read
The Goblin Emperor,
The Ministry of Time, and Voyage of the Damned.
I feel lost

We are on the same wavelength! I just finished one AND I read the sequels!
(I'm really having trouble finding my next great novel...)

I think someone should cover the song they did for Sesame Street. You all know the one. Think pinball machine and counting to 12

So many readers have only read books that rely on info dumping that they have lost the patience to allow the world to unfurl around them as part of the narrative. They want to know it all upfront and lose the mystery and enchantment of a story that shows rather than tells

Well that's helpful. I am sorry if they read my Storygraph reviews. Lol.

Me: hoping it's all of them. 🤩

I'd love to be an ARC reader but they always ask for examples of reviews. My reviews when I do them are a hodge podge of various thoughts I have when I finish a book (the best ones are when I DNF!) anything more and I have Eng Lit flashbacks

Oh! Ok I love SF too but I can wait for your fantasy novel.

Oh no I missed the call out!

These stories have been circulating since the election and I don't believe them. The MAGA crowd will never admit they made a mistake. These stories are just to give a false sense of schadenfreude and that it will be all over soon.

"And that exhausts my insights into the kicking of severed heads. Admittedly it’s more than most people have to offer on the subject but there were Mayans who knew a lot more than I do. That of course is a whole different ball-game."

So far so good! I'm a sucker for Greek mythology in contemporary settings.

It's true! I spend way too much time on Reddit
It's nice to feel appreciated

Late to the party!

Just started this morning!

I followed a starter pack because I wanted more people to follow who have way more interesting takes than me

And suddenly I got all these "followed you back".

The pressure is intense. What if I make a grammatical mistake? Or they don't like my hot take? Or don't find me funny?
