I was really hoping the theme would make for a little goofier and more creative entry in this series, but I was let down again. I feel like it has all long since veered into a territory that I think of as "Not Scary, Just Gross."

I really appreciate how even Musk's most professional headshot still looks like a stock photo that The Onion would use in an article about a dumb drunk guy who drove his car through the middle of a children's soccer game and crashed into a public pool because he dropped a lit cigarette on his balls.

I'm not saying that this is the same car, but when I was a kid in Santa Rosa I went to school with someone whose dad drove a Mercedes just like this. He always drove with the windows down, all cool and casual, and the one time I rode in it the guy absolutely could not stop farting.

Kind of a miracle that Discovery made it to four seasons in the era of streaming. TNG could maybe be restructured to work, but it comes out the other side a wildly different show and there's no way it could live if Roddenberry was somehow still in the mix.
