Howdy! I'm Siobhan! I'm a writer and editor in the US's Southwest. I write sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and I've been known to do screenplays and articles on film. I love movies, tabletop and video games, and hollering. Follow me for Battletech shitposts, miniatures painting, and film/writing thoughts.

I was really hoping the theme would make for a little goofier and more creative entry in this series, but I was let down again. I feel like it has all long since veered into a territory that I think of as "Not Scary, Just Gross."

Ah, another year, another V/H/S movie that absolutely sucks shit. Why do I agree to watch them again and again? Hope truly springs eternal.

Given how things were going last summer, I was waiting on dread all season for Harris to say something like "Run, don't H-walk to-a the polls in November!"

It was already impossible for this buckaroo to start off ahead in the conversation... he sure as hell should have quit before now.

But he's been in the room* with top game developers!

*Burst into the recording booth** where his wife was having a voice acting session with CDPR.

**Allegedly with a gun.

I really appreciate how even Musk's most professional headshot still looks like a stock photo that The Onion would use in an article about a dumb drunk guy who drove his car through the middle of a children's soccer game and crashed into a public pool because he dropped a lit cigarette on his balls.

It requires no special training or professional certifications. You don't have to ask your dad for permission or convene a panel. You simply see a person and go, "Oh, that's a person. Okay."

I'm not saying that this is the same car, but when I was a kid in Santa Rosa I went to school with someone whose dad drove a Mercedes just like this. He always drove with the windows down, all cool and casual, and the one time I rode in it the guy absolutely could not stop farting.

I love it when a real dumb guy goes, "Yeah, yeah, shut up. I really know how to tell a story!"

You know, he's really just such a gifted storyteller.

"They're suing each other" is not the personal Coens theory I expected to be confirmed.

Court documents reveal that director Ethan Coen is attempting to sue his brother Joel Coen over which of them will get to direct a movie using the "Omegaverse" trope

It did! Think I got it mixed up with Strange New Worlds ending at four.

Have now finished Spread Me, and I'm moving on to The Exiles, since I read the first twenty pages of it while waiting for a movie to start right after I bought it last week. Then I'm going to dip into Wake Up and Open Your Eyes.

I've read Mexican Gothic, but hadn't heard of The Fisherman. I'll keep an eye out for it!

Hell, I kind of think Picard only barely coasted to three seasons on the intense nostalgia of remembering your favorite guys.

Kind of a miracle that Discovery made it to four seasons in the era of streaming. TNG could maybe be restructured to work, but it comes out the other side a wildly different show and there's no way it could live if Roddenberry was somehow still in the mix.

I genuinely feel this way about almost everyone in Star Trek after a point. Miles O'Brien should have been retired by the halfway point of DS9 at the LATEST.
