I didn’t see that, and I’m sure they are disparaging. It may have factored into decisions to not attend. I dont know how they planned to structure the meeting if drs Hotez and offit had attended. I still wish someone had shared the stage with Siri. But I’m scared speaking up here. so, no judgement.

He had the platform. And his absence would have denied him the record and the audience. He was going to attend if drs Hotez and offits accepted. And it would not have been a pleasant experience for them. No doubt. And again, I could be mistaken. All respect sir! 🙂

Too true! I long since lost respect for constitutional conservatives in the GOP. People who I disagreed with, but who respected the constitution and this country.

all true. I don’t think there would have been debate. it might have limited Siri’s time, and given real information from the same stage in real time, and been entered into record with his nonsense. I do respect their decision and them. truly only my very humble and possibly mistaken opinions.

Siri is dangerous and had no business there. It was rigged. they are bad faith defined. personified. and I am not public health, still an early stage investigator, and very humble in my opinion. Think we are at the silence is complicity stage. Very very grateful for this forum and community. 💕

I’m usually more of a lurker. But we are at the silence is complicity stage of things here. I’m very worried. And again, I’m a scientist, but not cdc, not public health, although adjacent educated. Only humble opinions.

All that said, no disrespect to drs Hotez and Offit. And I don’t know what’s best right now. I think we need a big tent, unity of purpose with respect for differing views (when based in reality, not profit or ideology), AND an even bigger soapbox.

Would they not have been afforded the same stage to speak. He had 90“ uninterrupted to spew garbage. Anything that would have added to Meissners 10“ rebut would have helped. Would at would had to have been added to the record. Only my truly humble opinion, and I could very well be wrong.

I know. I do understand and respect their decision. I do. I saw that. But the committee wasn’t the important audience. We know that too. Their decisions were all baked in. Dr’s Meissner and Hibbeln were valiant. But we needed their voices on the same stage as Siri in particular.
