I don't believe logic has anything to do with his statement. I think you need to view it through the perspective of "his narrative" as a loyalty test.

According to www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_... there's a 2026 out - a 12.8 million dead cap hit - to Barmore's deal. What are the chances team considers this option given his pending legal issue and overall performance since signing the contract?
