This feature is being ported from the excellent "Party Rehaul" mod by its creator sabertooth, who implemented it in 2023: www.nexusmods.com/kingdomheart...

(Prior to that, only Riku and Mickey could guard together in KH3, and only in a specific battle: the 1st Demon Tower fight after Olympus.)

Forgot to write this: even though the team is 15 levels below the world's battle level, they're able to survive a bit thanks to late-game equipment and abilities.

Donald survives at 0:12 in the video above by getting HP prizes from his enemy kills, multipled by Prize Proliferator and HP Converter.

Whether having Superglide in KH3 is useful is debatable, though. Sora has plenty of abilities to move around quickly (Flowmotion, rail sliding on ice trails), runs on the ground faster than he glides, can teleport for free towards specific targets (Airstep)…

(And backstage, this means that the combat behaviour of most party members was revised as well, to make them dodge or run away from damage fast and often.)

We meant rewriting his combat AI, his priorities in battle, in which situation he uses his spells, etc.

And our resident "party rehaul" guy did the same for nearly all 20+ party members in KH3 😊

… and now without typos in the image 😅

(Note that in the previous post, the examples are about the specific attacks shown in the image. We won't be changing the element attached to all attacks from all formchanges, just some whose VFX are visually magical but were using the Strength stat to calculate their damage.)

This also plays into how, with the 2.0 update, we're rebalancing the damage output of all playable characters… including the element and stat attached to some formchange attacks.

Some formchanges will have Magic-base attacks or deal elemental damage, which may not always be optimal for all "paths"!
