For the sake of the long-suffering civilians, who have endured a singular hell, I hope the first phase of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas goes ahead, even if it offers only temporary reprieve.

The “strong, durable, and everlasting peace” Trump believes is on the horizon is a pipe dream.

I always argued there was method to Donald Trump's madness. This has become chillingly apparent during his second term. The randomness of his first term has been replaced with a systematic attack on what's left of US democracy.

The only thing standing between him and his goal is popular resistance.

The Belgian government is wasting precious time engaging in Byzantine debates about whether or not to recognise a Palestinian state.

This is a distraction. What the situation demands are sanctions against Israel, both national and European, until the war ends and the blockade on Gaza is lifted.
