In 2007, Professor Sir David Khalili gave Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II a personal tour of the Royal Collection at Windsor Castle. His knowledge led The Queen to remark, “It’s scary how much this gentleman knows about art.”

Sir David received the Freedom of the City of London from the Lord Mayor of London, Alastair King. Recognised by UNESCO, Queen Elizabeth II, and Pope Benedict XVI, he called it “extraordinarily special.” The Lord Mayor praised him as a leading champion of culture and global understanding.
