Rock Shakespeare

On my parents’ fireplace mantle, two objects sit side by side:

One is a framed picture of Jesus Christ.

The other is an orange bust of The Felon, made in China.

Like they’re buddies…

Also… sometimes I will talk about professional wrestling.

Then again, I’m a hypocrite. I imagine at least 20% of this account will be hyperbolic and destructive. But hey, I’m not the president, so there’s that.

You might think he’s narcissistic, but that doesn’t make it true. And even if it is, so what? Saying he’s imploding for validation is just a way to make yourself feel better. Hurting his feelings isn’t a win and this sure as hell ain’t no a game.

Mirroring his language of destruction and hyperbole isn’t working—it’s just keeping us stuck in the same cycle.

I begin my 46th year on this planet by being diagnosed with hypertension. Oh good.
