Even though GTA is missing it, this year could rival 2007. I think if GTA6 hit this year it would've beaten it. So many good games in diverse genres.

Great article here. A point you made in here that I've been toying around with, is the industry stagnation really just XBox lagging with hardware and software? I feel like if you narrowed the console market to PS and Nintendo it paints a different picture over the last 10 years.

Daybreak 2 is kind of the red-headed stepchild of the series. It was notoriously rushed, and seems to lack the same cohesion of Daybreak 1.

Will some wait for PC? Maybe, but for the multiple millions who are still on PS4 or Xbox One, they are most likely upgrading consoles for that game.

You should look at what happened with College Football 25. That game had an 11-year hiatus, and definitely drove console growth when it came out. GTA 6 will do that in a much greater fashion, it's the best selling game franchise in history.
