Zennor is one of my favourite places in Cornwall. Where moorland touches the sea. It feels untamed and I always feel a connection to my ancient ancestry there. It’s also stunning. This is the cove where legend says the Mermaid of Zennor lived, and I don’t blame her! #Zennor #Cornwall

I’ve been really lucky to see a barn owl several times through March as my walks after work have coincided with it hunting around St. Agnes Beacon. With the hour change our paths may not cross as often but I’m hoping I’ll still get a few glimpses when I’m out watching the summer sunsets.

Saturday was the start of meteorological spring and it was beautiful at Wheal Coates with warm sunshine and blue skies. Flowers like snowdrops and daffodils are appearing and after months of grey it’s lovely to see the colour returning to the landscape again #Cornwall

My favourite little fox was out in the sunshine this week. It was hunting in a different field to the one that I usually see it in and as a result I had a far better view. It is always a highlight catching a glimpse of one of these beautiful creatures in the wild 🦊 #fox

I was in a small park in Bristol when I spotted a little bird fly across the pond and land at the far side. I managed to zoom in and take a quick photo before it flew off again. I was delighted to see that it was a beautiful little kingfisher.

I often talk about the joy of sitting quietly and observing the nature around you. A few days ago I was in Bristol sat by a small pond and I was delighted to see a heron and a pair of moorhens there. The water was like a mirror. It was wonderful to find such a peaceful place so near a big city.

Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) over Wheal Coates last night. It's only visible every 80,000 years and I only had one clear night to catch it so it was a genuine once in a lifetime opportunity! The hunter’s super moon lit the buildings beautifully #Cornwall
