4. They worship a Freedom that cannot, and should not, exist. Freedom should include social responsibility, not exclude it. True freedom requires a social contract of some kind. Freedom without Responsibility is Tyranny, too.

…and that by supporting these measures, you are being duped. Simply put, when fighting these things feels too hard, their promise that it’s morally and sometimes factually wrong anyway feels great because fighting these things is hard and it’s a relief not to feel bad about them anymore.

They make you feel like empathy is for the lazy, and that you have been taken advantage of by a world that uses it against you. They make you feel that anti-consumerism and eco-activism, for example, are hurting the True Gods such as their economic ideal

2. They make you believe in a world of winners and losers, and that you have graduated to the Winning category.Most people have some reason to feel their dreams and self perceptions have been privately defeated. That easily preyed upon by this feeling. This, colloquially, is why Fascism Feels Good.

1. They utilize the essence of paranoid thinking to make you feel almost like you alone have discovered the answers and are on a quest to find The Truth. This subverts the natural desire to find meaning in life, to feel you are on a hero’s journey. Young people are particularly susceptible to this.
