The College Football Playoff participants were chosen today. Only 12 teams qualify, top 5 ranked Conference winners & 7 at-large teams. Notre Dame was the top team not to qualify. Takeaway? They need to accept that being an indepedent is a disadvantage, check your ego & finally join a conference.

Cool #seabagsmaine panel of the week. Two panels from sail trade partner, Annapolis Yacht Club. The image is of the club’s burgee. The first panel’s burgee was too large to fit on a conventional tote. So it will made into an extra-large SeaBag. The latter panel will become a medium tote.

Cool #seabagsmaine panel of the week. As popular as Snark, the small sailboat brand, has been; this is the first Sunflower 3.3 Sail design that has crossed our path. This descriptive logo panel and its companion script panel will be repurposed into medium tote bags.

Cool #seabagsmaine panel of the week. We were lucky to amass a series of sails from the sailing team of @olddominionu. Their bold blue lion logo is featured on this panel. Looking forward to see it in all its glory as a large tote.

Cool #seabagsmaine panel of the week. Another week, another Beneteau. AH, not so fast! While their sails typically feature a black logo, this sail had a distressed blue one & the profile includes a representation of the seahorse’s eye and nostril. A rare find that will be the star of a medium tote.

Cool #seabagsmaine panel of the week. Cut from a Doyle Stack Pack for a Beneteau sail (sea horse logo). A stack pack is a cover that holds a sail in place when it is lowered. As durable as the material is, it’s also soft to the touch. A truly special piece that will be repurposed into a large tote.

Cool #seabagsmaine panels of the week. So this logo had me stumped. A few search engines indicated it may have originated from a carnival cruise line day excursion sailboat. Will update if Carnival responds. Meanwhile, these cool Blue, White, & Red whale tale panels will become a tote & a handbag.

Cool #seabagsmaine panel of the week. Cut from a Coleman-O’Brien wind board sail. Yep, we reutilize small sails as well. This smaller than usual panel will be constructed into one of our newer tote designs, the vintage baguette bag.

Cool #seabagsmaine panel of the week. The original sail owner went the extra mile to have the borders of this unique iconography zigged into place. Once crafted, this large tote will be ideal for that special Canadian in your life. 🇨🇦

Cool #seabagsmaine panel of the week. From a sail made by legendary California based watercraft creators, Hobie, the red Dacron panel has an added feature of clear plastic window. Our gifted staff will skillfully incorporate the window and other unique features into a medium tote design.

Cool #seabagsmaine panel of the week. From a sail celebrating America’s bicentennial. These sails were popularly used during the 1976 celebration ceremonies. This particular panel will be made into a large tote.

3.8 Earthquake centered just off the coast of Portsmouth, NH, this morning. Not something we usually get in these parts.
