Strava is good, but lots of alternatives. Battery is obviously a consideration too. One feature I like is the personal heat map, building up a visual record of where you’ve walked/cycled over time.

Sorry - patronising etc, but is it not a massive faff having to plot and remember your route when you could use Strava or something to do it for you? I admire the effort regardless - good work :)
