why am I being seen by people as forcing my opinions at them when I don't even stating my opinion in an aggressive, non-compromising way?

...but then I wonder if that was me being detached and distant and emotionally unavailable, or just me being overly compromising with others in the name of being versatile and flexible. i don't know.
