Problem was, every other day you could just do it as you finished. I forgot what day it was and did the forbidden dump on Thursday. I had to stand and face the wall next to the trash bin for the remainder of lunch period. I was mortified, but now it just makes me angry for my childhood self.

One teacher had a rule on the day she supervised lunch- "no dumping on Thursdays," which meant you had to wait until your table was called to dump your trash and return your tray.
