“I live in a society without exploiting anyone”

“No you don’t”

“OH MY GOD HE DID THE YOU LIVE IN A SOCIETY THING”

Yes. Some Trump voters obviously knew. But the Trump campaign absolutely saw every undocumented immigrant (plus many documented) as criminals.
December 30, 2025 at 10:45 PM
Yes, but that was never what Trump meant.
December 30, 2025 at 10:31 PM
The unsaid part was that undocumented immigrants were all criminals to them, because they broke the law by entering the country. So saying “just the criminals” meant all of them.

If he made something up, they’d still be talking about how he pretended to grow up as a Sox fan even though he didn’t move to Chicago til he was 24.

“Peak economics”

The US was in recession in 1990-91 lmao
December 30, 2025 at 1:17 AM
They asked him who his favorite White Sox players were growing up and he answered honestly that he didn’t grow up a Sox fan so he didn’t really have an answer for that question.

“Don’t you realize that this will make it impossible for me to be a regular anonymous piece of shit on the internet?”

Feature, not bug

I think it would be a mistake to run anyone that reminds us of the heartbreaking defeat in 2024 but I think Kamala is great and the campaign was pretty much flawless. There was just too much to overcome.

It’s premeditated murder

If I have to give Greene credit for anything, it’s that she seems to correctly identify that the only chance for any of them will be to distance themselves from MAGA asap before the old man croaks and everyone else does the same. It may get her a senate seat or governorship in GA, but probably not.

I truly believe that none of the rest of the GOP roster is electable federally and they’re about to struggle HARD without daddy at the top of the ticket. These people are so high on their own supply they don’t even know what’s coming.

Ol reliable
December 29, 2025 at 3:14 PM
Pharma doesn’t need to spend 100s of billions on data centers and energy usage so it’s quite a bit easier to find profits there. Who exactly is gonna pay for the new treatments if not the public? Is health insurance expected to absorb these costs?
December 29, 2025 at 12:27 AM
lol have you not been paying attention at all? Ai companies are absolutely hemorrhaging money. Theres no path to profitability.
December 29, 2025 at 12:20 AM
Gonna need an actual source there because I know many cancer survivors and others currently in treatment and these tools aren’t part of their treatment or long term monitoring plans at all. Absolutely nothing has changed in the past 7 years that I’ve been closely watching.
December 29, 2025 at 12:19 AM
Because stuff like improving cancer outcomes isn’t profitable. You need public buy-in and so far the public is largely uninterested in spending any money at all on ai.
December 29, 2025 at 12:13 AM
Compute is being fully subsidized by the ai companies and companies like nvidia pumping their valuations into data centers because they believe it will be profitable in the future. They’re currently losing hundreds of billions per year. You absolutely need the public to start to buy in.
December 29, 2025 at 12:11 AM
Show me a source for any actual person receiving better outcomes because of ai.
December 29, 2025 at 12:09 AM
The present day stuff is almost unusable though. It certainly does not increase productivity. People use it as a toy- and most people don’t want to pay anything to use it.
December 28, 2025 at 11:49 PM
Any sort of speculative cancer treatment applications will need to be funded. Compute is *currently* astronomically expensive but is being subsidized by the speculative value of these companies. If personal LLM use can’t be monetized, the whole thing crumbles. Honestly this seems pretty likely.
December 28, 2025 at 11:47 PM
It’s pretty easy to imagine a world where the use-cases don’t justify the costs and the whole thing kindof fizzles out when there’s no path to profitability.
December 28, 2025 at 8:05 PM
Okay
December 27, 2025 at 4:50 PM
And I (and the original post) were about 2002. You talking about Biden the president is completely irrelevant to my point so maybe find someone else to talk to about that
December 27, 2025 at 4:48 PM
And that’s not relevant to my point.
