this may be the worst thing this government has done - between this & the trans bathroom ban

this is why talk of "the guardrails will hold" was so, so stupid

impeachment was the guardrail, that was the check (at least in this circumstance), & it was obvious, well in advance of the last election, that it couldn't be used - not against a republican president at least

Spielberg and Williams belong together and complete each others visions perhaps more so than as did even Hitchcock and Bernard Herrmann

the music stands quite alone aside of the film. sublime

just a stunning collective work of the imagination. but the score especially here is such a literal part of the text of the film, in a way that i can't think off the top of my head has any parallel in a single film work (tho surely there must be some)

i really do hear this but i can't get over it - they elected him twice, to the most powerful position in the history of earth! there's no possible way they didn't know who they were getting. tonight is great but this fight will never truly end
