Spent a good chunk of the early morning researching IKEA bed frames for my father that were bought in the late 90s so that we could get replacement parts. See what an English PhD can get you? #researchskills

After a week of (fun) disruption to my work schedule, I just submitted a (slightly overdue) peer review AND a book review I’d been working on since July! Feeling very productive for a Sunday, and following in the footsteps of @juliapoly.bsky.social in giving back to the academic community.

And, with this move, my time at uGuelph has (sadly) come to an end (for now). Huge thanks to @susanbrown.bsky.social @antimony27.bsky.social and @paulbarrett1.bsky.social who guided me through the PhD to my first postdoc as the Michael Ridley Postdoc in #DH. Guelph has been such a supportive place

Thrilled to share that I’ve started a #SSHRC Postdoc at the University of Waterloo with @laitze.bsky.social and @becomingbri.bsky.social! I’ll be researching the feminization and subsequent denigration of women’s writing and associated publishing technologies, from 19th cent poetesses to Instapoets
