My univ has a third category: add'l major. Only first majors 'count' for census (though not budget yet) purposes.

I saw someone else post about the difference btw this org--the fraternal order--and the MN Police and Peace Officers Assoc. I think the later may be the actual union, but I am not sure.

@annieabrams.bsky.social have you also looked at the Truman Commission Report, Higher Ed for Am Democracy? It came out after Harvard's Red Book. There are excellent contemporary critiques of the former, and the one I have found most provocative was by Robert Lynd, "Who Calls thr Tune." I can send.

day 12: a light writing day--just a transition paragraph to a new dimension of the topic. After remembering the anxiety US gov't and univ officials felt at mid-century re: 'over educating' people in emerging nations, I also sorted thru archive notes to bolster tomorrow's work. #acadecawriteathon
