Comics are actually very difficult to write if you’re coming from a prose-writing background.

It’s a VERY different skillset from prose—in fact, it’s closer to writing a screenplay than a novel. You gotta know enough about film language and camera to make the comic panels & art *mean* something.

Happy Bisexual Awareness Week! I had the opportunity to play a little with the new chapter cover. Respite after the calamity

After a long, one hundred years, the princess and her knight could not bear to be pulled from each other again. Warm afternoon sun floods the cozy bedroom of Link’s home, silhouetting the pair, their bodies begging to be closer. Zelda cherishes the touch of his hair, relishing in his being, that he’s whole with her again. It had been so long since she’d been in the presence of her lover, or anyone for that matter. She kisses him deeply, feeling him, breathing him in, trying to satiate the yearning of her heart. Link returns her touch and pulls her in closer. Ph how he needed this. This comfort was enough to make him suffer through it all again. He notes the softness of her skin, despite the suffering she spent all this time. Link searched for the words, thank you for waiting, thank you for your strength, but the words never felt like enough.

I like the idea that through the twisted and corrupt way Nod Krai and Snesznaya work, Nefer's only "value exchange" was reduced to Mora. But Lauma is not about the Mora at all... and Nefer would not know if what else she can give would be enough or adequate. And that makes her feel small.

Casual HERE AND NOW chapter 6 WIP! Inking has slowed down this week, but for a great reason - I was able to attend a German sign language course and now I can sign a tiny bit! What a fantastic experience! Now I'm sick and attempting some meaningful recreation 🤭 Have a nice weekend!
