I lost my job because of Trump and DOGE so I guess I've gone from my dream life to a really crapppy life to hurt Trump.
Yup, that makes sense... NOT.

Only an M.A. in linguistics ~ but also an M.S. in library science. Bonus: ADHD [diagnosed at 54; so much of my life explained...].
So, yes, I have had my own and been a "first responder" to other people's etymological emergencies.

Glad for protecting public lands.
Now... how about IMLS funding for libraries and museums? Libraries are often the backbone of small towns and rural communities ~ lots of people are going to be hurt by IMLS being shut down.

And here's Princess Flora ~ she has more than a few permanent resident brain cells, so frequently outwits Scout, especially when her favorite treats are involved.

When she taught future teachers, she tried to make sure they ended up with the same attitude about making reading fun/interesting.
Me? I was the kid who got so many summer reading rewards one year that the program had limits on how much a kid could win the following year. 😁
Also me: now a librarian.

My mother, a college English professor, thought one of the worst things that happened to children who struggled with reading was being put in classes where all they did was worksheets that drilled them on specific skills ~ no reading for fun at whatever level the students could manage.
