additional Slow Horses thought - gets points because it's one of the very few TV shows with a Roderick in it. Loses points because it's this fucken guy:

Watching #Sorcerer, the edible is kicking in and a massive tropical thunderstorm just started crashing down outside, right as this scene began. Sometimes nature has an excellent sense of timing #movies

Today's little poem is called Timshel. I'm really enjoying this long overdue re-read of East of Eden, in case that wasn't obvious

One of the truly underrated joys in life is going to a nice bar by yourself with a book. Maybe you will meet some cool people there, but if not you can still happily sit & read while enjoying a good drink and watching the world go by. Works well travelling solo but no reason it can't work at home

The Wallabies couldn't get the job done for me, but other than that it was a pretty great weekend on the sporting front. Both teams into the Prelims

"But some men are friends with the whole world in their hearts, and there are others that hate themselves and spread their hatred around like butter on hot bread"

Re-reading East of Eden for the 1st time in about 20 years and I think it's official. Steinbeck is my favourite author #reading #booksky

The good thing about relying on random book exchanges and secondhand shops as you travel is that you end up with a collection of very different books #reading #travel #booksky

Well this is great. I met a songwriter at my sister's wedding the other week, and yesterday she sent me a song she wrote inspired by one of my poems. #writingcommunity #poetry #songwriting #poetrycommunity

Today's little poem is about a night out at pub I had recently. It had been a while, and I had almost forgotten how good a friendly pub-culture can be
