This teacher keeps using Gen AI for images. I was putting in the bare minimum for discussion posts because why try if you're not going to search for a regular stock image? It's the last week and included asking about using AI to research. Queue my most in depth response with receipts

She has a project due next week, in which she must write a report on a common health condition that affects the elderly population. She decides to choose Alzheimer’s disease as her topic because her grandmother was diagnosed with it a few years ago. She wants to learn more about the causes, symptoms, treatments, and prevention of Alzheimer’s disease, and how it affects the quality of life of the patients and their caregivers. She also wants to include some personal stories and experiences from people who have Alzheimer’s disease or care for someone who does. Kailani starts her internet research by typing “Alzheimer’s disease” in Google. She gets millions of results, but she is not sure which ones are reliable and relevant. She clicks on the first link, which is a Wikipedia article. She reads the article and finds some useful information, but she also notices that it has a warning that says, “This article needs additional citations for verification”. She wonders if she can trust the information on Wikipedia, and if she can use it as a source for her report. 2. Initial Post: Create a new thread and answer all three prompts listed below. It reads: An advantage of using Google is that it has access to a vast variety of sources. If you know how to use it you can find anything. A disadvantage of using Google is that not every website you find is reliable. It isn't hard to just create a website that looks legitimate but put false or biased information into it. I am unsure how AI can be used to help with research for a project. I have a strong moral stance against the use of AI with current technology due to the environmental impact. It is also not reliable for any sort of research as AI has been found to be unable to complete simple math equations, and more recently has been found to lie. A way to discern if a resource is reliable is to find the credited sources for the information given. If there are no credited sources that resource should be disregarded. A reliable resource will have credited sources that back up the information stated. Kailani should dig into the resources she is looking at to see what studies and research backs up the statements given.
